HALO-HALO Magazine is proud to announce the upcoming launch of its first issue. Our magazine showcases the people, events and stories that affect and shape the Filipino-American community. We are looking for quality people to help us. Read on to see where you fit in!

INTERNS
HALO-HALO Magazine is looking for advertising and editorial interns. Are you a motivated, accountable, creative self-starter who loves writing or marketing? We have non-paid positions for individuals who wish to gain valuable experience in ethnic media. If interested, please email your resume to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. FREE-LANCE WRITERS & PHOTOGRAPHERS
HALO-HALO Magazine is also looking for talented free-lancers across the nation. You must have the passion for what you do and the hunger to be better because our compensations are on the low end. E-mail a query letter describing your proposed subject; (or check out our Topic section) and send samples of your previous work, if any. If we like your idea, we'll email you a contract. Publication, however, must still depend on the quality of your final submission. Unsolicited manuscripts are not compensated; we prefer queries by e-mail. Please allow a couple of weeks for a response. If you don't hear from us within 2 weeks, please send us an email and remind us.
"COMMUNITY NEWS & EVENTS" CONTRIBUTORS
HALO-HALO will gladly post announcements of any Filipino-related activities or events. Please submit your announcements as early as possible because we require at least two months to prepare an issue.

"MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITY" CONTRIBUTORS
Introduce us to someone you know who has made a difference in your community. This could be a person with a unique occupation, an achiever, a role model, a hero, or someone who has had inspiring experiences. Send us basic information about the person and how he or she may be reached; if possible include a quality photo. Tell us why he or she should be featured. We'll determine if we can include them in the magazine. A voting may take place from our readers.
